It’s common for brand-new products to have a moderate scent after unboxing. We like to think of this as a “new car smell.” Should your Elmira snow mattress have a slight odour after unboxing, it will dissipate over a short period of time. At Elmira, we ensure our products are safe for the environment and safe for everyone in your home, including infants and pets. Both the Elmira snow Mattress and the Hybrid Mattress are CertiPUR-US® certified. This means the foams we use are free of formaldehyde, phthalates, and flame retardants, as verified by an independent third-party organization. If you notice any lingering odours, allow your mattress to air out for 24 hours, at which point the odour should subside. If any fans are in the room, turn them on to increase air circulation.
