Sleep on your new Elmira snow mattress, Elmira hybrid mattress or toppers for up to two months before deciding if it's right for you.

Our mattresses have a 60-night sleep trial. Your mattress trial begins the day you receive your mattress or eligible topper. Please keep in mind that it takes time to adjust to a new mattress. Your Elmira mattress is unlike any mattress you’ve experienced before. Some people love it after the first night. For others, it takes a little longer. Depending on the type and condition of mattress you’re transitioning from, your body might need time to adjust to its gentle firmness. Experiencing proper posture and back support may actually cause a few aches and pains along the way. This might take a month or more. But you’ll appreciate it in the end. 

That’s why we require that customers give their new mattress at least 21 days before requesting a return or exchange. Should you wish to proceed with a return after 21 days, we will work with you to arrange everything.

 THE RETURN PROCESS

The product, opened or unopened, can only be returned within the 60 Night Trial.

If you are outside of the trial period you will not be eligible to make a return or exchange request.

In the event of a return, the  drop-off address would be sent to you with a return label which should be attached with the product. 

Customer may return a maximum of two (2) mattresses per initial first order, validated by the order number, customer name, or shipping address. Please try our products first before ordering in large quantities.

Once a return is requested and the required information has been provided, you will be contacted by the warehouse team to schedule an appointment when the item would reach us. 

While our logistics team will do their best to accommodate your requested times, pickups and drop-offs will ultimately be subject to their availability, and will occur only during their operating hours (generally weekdays only).

You do not have to repackage your mattress and ship it back. Rest assured, our customer solution experts will guide you every step of the way. Finding homes who need these items is important for us — about 50% of our returned mattresses are donated to verified charities, nonprofits, healthcare professionals, retired and serving military personnels and PHD/M.SC students in need. The other 50% of returned mattresses are auctioned in our annual warehouse sale at almost half the price. Of  course, the mattress must be in a condition suitable for donation, free from stains or damage. The use of a mattress protector is advised. Photographic documentation will be required and is subject to review and approval. Any environmental and/or customer-inflicted damage will disqualify the ability to exchange or return the Elmira product. 

Once the product has been returned and confirmed to be in good condition, your refund will be processed back onto the original card or bank account used for the purchase. This typically occurs within 2-3 business days of the receipt. 

Any returned product type will not be eligible for additional subsequent trials (i.e. if you return The Elmira Mattress, you will not be eligible for another 60-night trial on future orders of The Elmira Mattress).

Shipping

Free shipping is available Nationwide on All orders that includes a mattress. Please kindly note while we try to deliver doorstep to address in Lagos, abuja, PH, Enugu, Kano.  Locations outside the aforementioned will be sent out to the closest park in your state for pickup. We do no bear any surcharge from collection at pickup centre to your doorstep. Especially if you stay in remote areas please expect to arrange a 3rd party mechanism to pickup from the drop-off point to your home.

Should you choose a delivery service or option provided directly through one of Elmira’s delivery providers, the delivery contract at that point will be directly between you and the delivery partner, not Elmira. Elmira will no longer be able to act as your primary point of contact for shipping inquires.

Size Exchanges

If the incorrect size is ordered, a one-time size exchange will be offered within the 60-Night Trial. This must be communicated to Elmira within the first 60 nights. To limit the impact on the environment, Elmira will treat a size exchange as completion of the 60-Night Trial. It is strongly recommended to confirm the correct size required before an order is placed.

Once we receive the exchanged item, your replacement product will ship out with a delivery fee bearable by customer. 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following exclusions apply: (1) Our serviceable area for mattress drop-offs, returns, exchanges and refunds is within Nigeria only and in specific states where our drop-off centres are located including Lagos, Abuja, PH, Enugu, Kano and Ibadan.  Mattresses taken outside of our serviceable area must be returned to a drop-off centre within our service area at the owners risk and expense in order to be eligible. (2) your refund will be processed back onto the original card or bank account used for the purchase. This typically occurs within 2-3 business days of the receipt. (3) Products must be in a condition suitable for donation to be eligible for return (i.e., no stains, tears, excessive odors, or soiling) with the law tag attached to the mattress and in its original, unaltered state. We request photo(s) to confirm that your mattress is in appropriate condition to be donated. Protect your mattress with our Mattress Pad Protector. (4) Our sleep trial is limited to one return of each product type per household. If you return or exchange a product, it ends your sleep trial for that product type (mattress, topper, base, pillows, protectors, sheets) and no other sleep trials are eligible for your household in the future for that product type. Exceptions: two down-alternative Pillows, two Latex Pillows, two Twin XL size mattresses (ONLY when used to make a single Split King for use on a single adjustable base) — two of which may be returned from a single order, since they are bought in pairs. We define this household-wide policy by your customer name, or shipping address, or billing method/account or billing address. (5) Your mattress must be used on a foundation or non-yielding bed frame with proper structural support. A proper bed frame is defined, for the purpose of this Mattress Warranty, as having at least five to six (5-6) leg supports with at least one (1) being a center support leg for a Queen, King, and California King Mattress, four (4) leg support for Twin and Full Mattresses. For Queen, King, and California King slatted style bed frames, there cannot be greater than five (5) inches between each slat in order to provide ample structural support for the foundation and user(s). Each slat needs to be a minimum of two and a half (2.5) inches wide. Boxspring, which contain springs and therefore can sag over time, may not provide proper structural support and will void the sleep trial and warranty. (6)The mattress must be rotated head-to-toe, once a month for the first six months, then every other month, to ensure even wear. (7) The mattress box must be opened within 30 days of receipt. (8) The sleep trial for the Luxury Elmira Crib Mattress is limited 30 days. (9) Adjustable bases and furniture are non-refundable. (10) In-Home Delivery & Setup services are non-refundable. If an order is cancelled at any point after shipment commences, associated shipping fees are non-refundable. (11) Shipping fees and shipping surcharges are non-refundable. (12) Naturally, items that were not paid for — such as the two free pillows included in some of our sales — are not eligible for a sleep trial or returns.

Each customer is eligible for one (1) 30 Night Trial for their first order of an Elmira bedding accessory placed on Elmirasleep.com. Any Elmirasleep products purchased through a third-party website or provider are not eligible for the 30 Night Trial and are subject to the purchasing retailer’s return policy. Elmira’s bedding accessories include the Elmira mattress topper, elmira mattress protectors the Elmira bedsheets, the Elmira pillows, the Elmira duvet, the Elmira duvet cover, the Elmira pillowcase, the Elmira waterproof pillow protector, the Elmira quilted mattress protector, the Elmira Everynight Sleep Set and the Elmira Enhanced Sleep Set. Trials are not applicable on sleep sets that are gifted with a mattress purchase.

Sleep on your new Elmira pillows and bedding (including our mattress protectors and sheets) and allow your body time to adjust. Your 30-night sleep trial begins after you receive your pillows or bedding (15-days for throws). During your sleep trial, if you decide that your Elmira pillows or bedding aren’t right for you, please send us an email to hello@elmirasleep.com

Only first orders placed on Elmira.com with a maximum of one (1) Elmira mattress protectors, sets of sheets, weighted blankets, comforters, duvets, duvet covers, silk pillowcases, pillow protectors or sleep sets and first orders with a maximum of two (2) Elmira pillows are eligible for the trial.

Any orders placed using the same credit card, transfer name/account, email address, billing address or shipping address will be considered as being placed by the same customer. If you are not certain that your order qualifies for the Elmira 30 Night Trial, contact Elmira’s Customer Service team, who will determine your order’s eligibility.

Once a customer has made a return within their 30 Night Trial, they are not eligible for another trial on the same product. The 30 Night Trial is non-transferable and any returns require proof of purchase. Any Elmira products ordered through a third-party website or provider are not eligible to the 30 Night Trial.

FAIR SLEEP TRIAL

Obviously, it takes time to adjust to new pillows and bedding. Although we do not put requirements on how long you must sleep on your new pillow or bedding before requesting a Sleep Trial Return, we do respectfully ask that you give it a fair and honest trial — 2 to 4 weeks. Your body needs time to acclimate to see if you sleep more deeply, breathe more easily, and wake more refreshed and energized.

WHAT HAPPENS TO RETURNED PILLOWS + BEDDING?

We have an extremely low rate of returns during the trial period, but, yes, it does happen. When it does, we arrange to have your product donated to a charity in half such cases. We will coordinate everything for you. (We have an excellent support team.) Rest assured, we do not resell previously used pillows or bedding anywhere online or in our stores, and we only use all new materials in every product. The only time we sell returned sheets are during our annual warehouse sales which happens in our warehouse where the products are shown physically to customers for inspections and auctioned at half the selling price.
