What are the care instructions for the Elmira Hybrid Mattress?

Unlike the Elmira Snow Mattress, the Breathable Bamboo Mattress Cover on the Elmira Hybrid Mattress cannot be removed and laundered due to the plush quilted top. Spot clean any marks or stains using a damp cloth and mild detergent. Follow the instructions below to keep your Hybrid Mattress in perfect shape for years to come.

Protect

We highly recommend using a mattress protector to prevent damage to your Elmira mattresses. Check out the Elmira Mattress Protectors. We've got two types of mattress protectors - one made up of terry laminated waterproof TPU layered with cotton for breathability while the other is made up of air knit jacquard laminated waterproof TPU layered with bamboo.

They're both waterproof and temperature regulating so you can stay cool, and sleep comfortably while your mattress stays clean. If you'd like to source your own, we recommend protectors with breathable or cooling features, and to choose a waterproof or water-resistant protector for the best protection.

Clean & Vacuum

It is best to use a mattress protector with your Elmira mattress, allowing you to remove and wash the protector as needed. If you aren't using a protector and your mattress gets stained, you can use a small amount of soapy water and rub the stain with a towel. 

Another thing you want to do is use mattress vacuum cleaners at least once a month.

Mattress vacuum cleaners are specialized handheld devices designed to remove dust mites, allergens, and bacteria from bedding and upholstery. They typically feature powerful suction, HEPA filtration, UV-C sterilization lights, and vibrating pads to dislodge particles, providing a deeper clean than traditional vacuums

Maintain

To help maintain integrity over time, we recommend rotating the mattress by 180 degrees at least once every six months. Some softening throughout the lifespan of your mattress is normal, so regular rotations will help keep your mattress feeling even across the full surface. Don't flip the mattress over, as it has been designed with a specific top (white) and bottom layer (grey).
