Congratulations on your new Elmira Hybrid mattress! Setting up is super easy (and kind of fun)!
Here’s how to do it:
- Move the box to your room: Trust us, it’s easier to set it up where it’s going to live.
- Position properly: Ensure it is oriented correctly (head vs. foot) before cutting.
- Cut the outer plastic: Carefully remove the outer plastic wrap using a mattress cutter (usually included) or scissors, avoiding cutting into the mattress fabric.
- Unbox with care: Place the box on it's side near your foundation or floor. Careful with sharp objects to open the box—your Elmira doesn’t need a haircut!
- Position and unwrap: Place the mattress on a solid or slatted foundation, then remove the outer plastic wrap. Watch as your Elmira Hybrid starts to puff up like magic!
- Unfold and free your mattress: Tear away the inner plastic. Pro tip: Start at the top and pull it off like a sock.
- Watch the magic happen: Your Elmira is ready to sleep on. We recommend rotating it head to foot, every 3-6 months to even out wear.
